Chase Jeffels
Clown/Improv
Chase Jeffels is a Toronto-based actor, comedian, and clown, trained at École Jacques Lecoq and the Laboratoire d'Étude du Mouvement in Paris. He also studied with legendary clown teacher Philippe Gaulier, who once said (in a thick French accent), “I do not like very much Canada, but I like what you do.”
Chase has trained extensively in clown, bouffon, and idiot work with teachers like Aitor Basauri, John Gilkey, Chad Damiani, Deanna Fleysher, and Kevin Krieger, and completed the three-year conservatory at George Brown Theatre School. He also studied improv at Bad Dog Theatre, The Second City, and Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB), grounding his comedic style in spontaneity and strong ensemble work.
As a performer, Chase has worked in film, television, and theatre across Canada, France, and China. He’s one half of the duo West 2 West, and a member of the comedy group $20 Sandwich, known for improv, sketch, and online content. His solo work blends clown, stand-up, and improv into something raw, ridiculous, and totally his own—bridging the gap between mainstream comedy and avant-garde performance.
