Mansur Kadirov


Cellist

Mansur Kadirov was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan into a musical family. He began singing at the age of four, and later began cello studies at the age of eight at the R.M. Glier Music School. In 2003, Kadirov won his first cello competition in Tashkent. Mr. Kadirov has performed around the world, including with the National Symphony of Uzbekistan, Gunma Junior Orchestra, Kinnor Philharmonic, Kansas City Chamber Orchestra, and Royal Conservatory Orchestra. He has additionally performed at the Folly Theater, Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, Koerner Hall, Flagey, and Alice Tully Hall. Many of his concerts have been broadcast on radios in Europe, Japan and North and South America. Mansur completed his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees at Park University ICM and obtained his Artist Diploma at The Royal Conservatory of the Glenn Gould School as well as additional post-studies in the Advanced Performance Program at the Mount Royal University. He was also often invited to perform at government functions. Mansur is a prizewinner of several competitions and awards, including 1st prize in the National Competition of Uzbekistan, Grand Prix at Naftzger Young Artists in Wichita Kansas, USA, and Tom Thomas Award for promising soloist at GGS. Also, he has actively participated at a number of prestigious international competitions, including the Carlos Prieto Cello Competition, Dr. Luis Sigall Cello Competition, George Enescu Competition, and the First Queen Elisabeth International Cello competition. Mansur has shared the stage as chamber group with world famous musicians including Shmuel Ashkenazi, Victor Fournelle, Aaron Schwebel, Eric Abramovitz, Daniel Veis, Ben Sayevich and others.
