A Short Biography

Spencer Kryzanowski is a répétiteur and vocal coach based in Toronto. He is currently pursuing a Diploma in Opera Performance (Répétiteur) at the University of Toronto. You might recognize Spencer as the pianist for Against the Grain Theatre’s celebrated Opera Pub series in Toronto. Spencer’s recent opera credits include Hänsel und Gretel (répétiteur) with Berlin Opera Academy, Copland’s The Tender Land (répétiteur) with UofT Opera, Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia (répétiteur) with UofT Opera, and Puccini’s La bohème (assistant conductor & répétiteur) with Mercury Opera. In January 2023, Spencer made his conducting debut with UofT Opera, conducting the world premiere of Disobedience by the UofT student composer collective. This March, he will assist on Arthur Benjamin’s opera The Tale of Two Cities with UofT Opera.
