Lauren Halasz

Singer-Songwriter

Lauren Halasz is a singer, songwriter, director, and content creator based in Toronto. Halasz writes and performs with the folk band Lo & the Highroad, teaches song-writing and voice, and create musical and music education content on Instagram, Tiktok and Youtube. 
    Their most recent directing credits include co-directing A Good Haunting Volume II with Good Mess Opera Theatre, as well as Medusa’s Children, a new Canadian opera-film hybrid, with OperaQ. They previously directed a Hansel and Gretel opera-film hybrid with Fuse, and have worked as an Assistant Director with Opéra Queens. 
    Halasz is classically trained opera singer, with degrees from Western University and University of Toronto. They have most recently been seen as a soloist in Bach’s Magnificat and Beethoven’s Mass in C Major with the Etobicoke Centennial Choir and has previously performed Tapestry Opera, Mississauga Choral Society, Music Niagara, and Arcady.
