March Break Camps at ARMPA: Where Kids Take the Stage
Give your camper a break they'll actually be excited about. At Avenue Road Music and Performance Academy, our camps blend hands-on dance, acting, singing, and music-making into full, joyful days led by working artists and educators. Campers will leave with new skills, new friends, and a little more confidence walking into a room.
We offer two camp streams:
- Triple Threat — dance, acting, and singing
- Music — rock band, digital music production, and jazz band
When: March 15–19, 2027 (TDSB March Break), Monday to Friday, 9:00am–4:00pm
Who: Grades 3-8
Where: ARMPA, with outdoor lunchtime access to the Brown JPS Field
Cost: $400 per camper, per camp
Registration deadline: March 14, 2027
Capacity: Minimum 4 campers to run; maximum 30 per camp

A note on enrollment minimums: if a camp doesn't reach 4 registered campers one month before start, we'll let enrolled families know right away — and if numbers don't pick up, that camp will be officially cancelled two weeks before it's scheduled to begin. We'll always keep you in the loop.
Meet Your Instructors
Haruka Kyoguchi — Dance
Born in Japan, Haruka trained in Kobe before moving to Canada at 17. She trained at The Rock School for Dance Education and has performed with Oklahoma City Ballet and Ballet Jorgen, appearing as soloist and guest principal artist in productions of Cinderella and The Nutcracker. Haruka continues to perform in productions across Toronto.
Kate Martin — Acting
Kate is an actor and arts educator originally from rural Saskatchewan, now based in Toronto. Her acting credits include The Two Noble Kinsmen and The Spanish Tragedy with Shakespeare BASH'd, and productions with Young People's Theatre and Crane Creations Theatre. She's a two-time Dora Award nominee for Outstanding Ensemble, and has taught with Toronto Metropolitan University's Performance Youth and Community Programs, Young People's Theatre, and Junior Theatre Festival.
Adam Horrocks — Voice, Guitar, Bass, Ukulele
Adam is a seasoned performer, educator, and multi-instrumentalist based in Toronto. He performed extensively with his rock group Romancer and brings more than five years of teaching experience to the classroom, specializing in vocal performance while also teaching guitar, ukulele, and bass. He's also studied audio engineering, with experience producing recordings in a studio setting.
Tamari Russell — Music Production
Tamari is a multi-hyphenated musician, producer, and audio engineer who studied in York University's Jazz program before completing Trebas Institute's Audio Engineering and Music Production program. He has produced and engineered for artists including The Sorority, Nicole Chambers, and THEHONESTGUY, and co-runs Pagliacci Studios. Tamari also founded Colourful Sounds, an organization supporting BIPOC learners in live sound engineering.
Joel Harbans — Saxophone, Clarinet, Flute
Joel is a boundary-pushing saxophonist and woodwind specialist whose playing spans hip hop, classical, bebop, soca, and Afrobeats. A graduate of Humber College's jazz program, he studied with artists including Pat LaBarbera and Hilario Duran. Deeply rooted in both Toronto and his Trinidadian heritage, Joel is also an active community curator and host of local performances.
