Intro to Clown Improvisation
Intro to Clown Improvisation
Two afternoons of getting out of your head and into the room.
Clown isn't a costume or a red nose — it's what's left when you stop planning and start playing. Over two days we'll riff, flop, and chase the fun, building the kind of spontaneous instinct that makes a room lean in. Through clown, physical comedy, and live play, you'll loosen the grip of the thinking brain, learn to respond instead of react, and find the version of you that's most alive in front of people.
This is for actors, comedians, improvisers, and anyone who wants to get out of their own way. You'll come out more present, quicker on your feet, more comfortable failing in front of people, and more genuinely yourself when it counts.
No experience needed. Nothing to memorize. Just you, the group, and full permission to be ridiculous. Bring water and clothes you can move in.
Saturday & Sunday, August 15 & 16 · 1–4pm each day
$240 (all in) · Max 10 spots

WHAT PEOPLE SAY
"One of the best clown teachers and performers in the city. Warm, sensitive, and rigorous." — Adam Paolozza, Artistic Director, Bad New Days Theatre
"There's a freedom to be vulnerable and explore, a space to reconnect with what joy actually means to you. Chase creates an environment where you're reminded that you're okay, and that it's all just play." — Sophia Walker (Stratford Festival, Soulpepper, Murdoch Mysteries)
"Improv on steroids, with an emphasis on confident attunement. I've never had such an effective training for attuning myself socially." — Shizu Yamaguchi - student
