In this class, students will experience the thrilling sound and sensation of the violin. Our goal will be to explore playing violin with as little squeaking and as much fun as possible! Classes will cover the fundamentals of violin setup, notation, and aural skills through engaging games and exercises. Concepts will be taught systematically so that each student, regardless of their musical background, will develop the skills needed to play tunes on their own. Over the course of the class, we will study various styles of music including fiddle, classical and pop. So if you have an interest in exploring a string instrument, trying out the violin in this positive group environment is a great place to start. Hope to see you there!
