About The Artists

Hailing from Winnipeg, Elena is a versatile soprano residing in Toronto, Ontario. Elena holds a
Bachelor of Music (Vocal Performance) from the University of Manitoba, and an Artist Diploma
in Voice from the Glenn Gould School (Royal Conservatory of Music). A versatile and
committed singer and performer, Elena’s recent credits include her Mirvish debut in Natasha,
Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812 (Mirvish/Crows Theatre/Musical Stage Co.), a company
debut as Sophia in Sophia’s Forest (City Opera Vancouver), Hélène in The Journal of Hélène
Berr (Royal Conservatory 21C Festival), Into the Woods (Koerner Hall), A Starbright Christmas
(Victoria Playhouse Petrolia), Sibella in A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder (Drayton
Entertainment), The Handmaid’s Tale (Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity), Blanche in
Dialogues des Carmélites, Flight (Price Opera Program), Narnia (BadHats Theatre/MTYP),
Fiddler on the Loose (Drayton Entertainment), A Little Night Music (Koerner Hall). Winter 2026
will see Elena make her Canadian Opera Company debut in Rigoletto, as well as cover the role
of Eurydice in Orpheus and Eurydice at Pacific Opera Victoria. In the ’23/’24 season, Elena was
a member of the Rebanks Family Fellowship, where she enjoyed numerous performance
opportunities around the GTA. Elena is honoured to join Opera on the Avalon’s Emerging Artist
Program for the ’25/’26 season, and partake in performance opportunities and mentorship
across the country. Proudly represented by Dean Artists Management and Talenthouse, Elena
is incredibly grateful to spend her life making magic, and sharing it with people who take
playing pretend so seriously.
