Advanced amateur pianists are invited to join this 10-week program starting Sept 19 - Dec 05 (excluding the two holiday Mondays Sept 26 and Oct 10) at the beautiful Avenue Road Music and Performance Academy. It will be led by experienced pianists and pedagogues Dr. Michael Berkovsky and Alexander Panizza.
The program includes weekly master classes, with all participants having opportunities to play and receive feedback, and also seminars on key topics of interest, such as:
- Looking into and generating awareness of certain important principles of piano technique.
- The pianists toolbox: Simple but effective approaches to learning and incorporating repertoire.
- Decoding the visual into sound. Creative approaches to score reading and strategies on how to adapt difficult passages.

- Introduction to lesser known gems of the piano repertoire.
There will be a final recital at the Academy for willing participants and their guests.
